1.Identify what your approx. crimp outside should be based on your hose size and die combination*
*Crimp diameter specs can be found on the crimp spec decal on the face of your crimper, or you can find specs on the Gates eCrimp app or website
2. Using Gates dial calipers which are notched to clear ridges, measure halfway between ridges . Be sure caliper fingers DO NOT touch ridges or part number stamps
3. Measure halfway down the crimped portion of the ferrule
